BTB awards $13,000 to Miss Universe Belize organization

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) has awarded $13,000 to the Miss Universe Belize pageant.

The pageant will take place on August 13, 2022, at the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts.

Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, Anthony Mahler presented the cheque to the reigning Miss Universe Belize, Iris Salguero, on behalf of the Miss Universe Belize Organization to assist with this year’s pageant. 

“On behalf of the BTB, we extend our best wishes to the contestants vying for this year’s crown,” the BTB said.

Seven contestants are vying for the title of Miss Universe Belize.

Salguero’s successor will represent Belize at the 71st edition of the prestigious Miss Universe pageant.
