Motorcycle test drive turns fatal for driver

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash at Mile 6, Stann Creek Valley Road near the junction with the Southern Highway on Monday morning.

The victim has been identified as Desmond Bernard of Havana Street, Dangriga. Police investigation reveals that he was conducting a test drive of a Suzuki Ninja 1000 motorcycle when he apparently lost control of the motorcycle near Mile 6 and crashed into the guard rail entering the Southern Highway.

Police say Bernard was flung off the motorcycle and sustained head and body injuries; he died in treatment at the Southern Regional Hospital.
