‘No water fi wash deh skin’ after long weekend for some communities

By BBN Staff: Belize Water Services (BWS) Ltd. gave notice of an unplanned water interruption this morning which affected a number of residents from Belize City’s southside to parts of the George Price Highway.

According to BWS, the interruption was due to an electrical malfunction at the Southside Pump Station.

Affected areas include the entire southside of Belize City and communities on the George Price Highway including Westlake Park, Sunset Part and Western Pines.

“When water is restored, customers may experience some discoloration in their water supply,” BWS said. Water is expected to be restored by 9:00 a.m.
