Belize lose 0-1 to Bermuda in final group game in 2022 Concacaf Girls’ U-15 Championship in Florida

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Under-15 Belize Girls National Football Team (BGNT) lost their final game 0-1 to Bermuda on Wednesday in Group C of League B in the 2022 Concacaf Girls’ U-15 Championship (CGU15C) in Tampa, Florida.

After a good start on Sunday defeating Anguilla 3-1 at the Hillsborough County Tournament Sportsplex in Tampa, the U-15 BGNT fell 0-3 to Martinique on Monday and today made a gallant effort but conceded one goal and lost their final group game against Bermuda.

Martinique drew 0-0 with Anguilla today and finished atop Group C with seven points followed by Bermuda with six. Belize took third place with three points and Anguilla were last with no points.

Aruba won Group D with seven points while Nicaragua topped Group E with nine points.

Belize should have one more game on Thursday, August 4, to determine final rankings. Concacaf is yet to announce the pairings.
