By Hugh O’Brien: The management and staff of Breaking Belize News (BBN) is disheartened to report the sad news that Orlando Rene Harrison, a well known resident of the twin towns, died suddenly on Thursday night.

Orlando, or Landy as he was popularly known, was a well respected businessman in the twin towns. He is the pioneer of Big-H Juices and along with his brother Richard, Orlando also founded the La Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge.

Recently Orlando started having kidney issues as a result of complications caused by Diabetes. He was placed on dialysis but his passion to persevere in life and venture into new businesses was undaunted. He recently launched Buena Vista Communications Center Limited, a call center operations based in San Ignacio that currently employs about 20 employees.

Orlando is survived by his wife, four children, and a number of grandchildren.

May his soul rest in peace and rise in glory!

It is a sad day for the world and especially so for our community and families. Cayo mourns this loss and our heartfelt prayers go out to his wife and children and grandkids. Landy lived life to the fullest and I’m sure regrets were a few. The Bible says God will long for the works of his hands when it speaks of the resurrection. In the meantime sleep on. Until we meet again.

Condolences to the family he was a true Belizean and proved it by his commitment to the people of the nation. R.I.P brother.
