By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belizean cyclists Oscar Quiroz and Cory Williams finished 38 and 39 respectively in the Individual Time Trial a field of 54 at Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on Thursday morning.
Quiroz clocked 56 minutes, 56.05 seconds (56:56.05). He was 10:34.81 behind the winner, Rohan Dennis from Great Britain who clocked 46:21.24. Quiroz rode the race at an average speed of 24.63 miles per hour. Dennis’s average speed was 30.26 miles per hour.
Williams finished the race in 57 minutes, 16.32 seconds (57:16.32). He was 10:55.08 behind Dennis. Williams’ average speed was 24.49 miles per hour.
Giovanni Lovell crossed the finish line in the 48th position in 1 hour, three minutes, 7,68 seconds (1:03:07.68) at an average speed of 22.22 miles per hour. He was 16:46.44 behind Dennis.
Fred Wright of Great Britain won silver in 48:47.52 and Geraint Thomas of Wales got the bronze in 46:49.73.
