By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service says moist and unstable conditions are to set in later today.
Skies will be sunny with a few cloudy spells this morning, becoming cloudy tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be generally isolated at first, then gradually increase over the south and coast this afternoon, affecting most areas tonight and especially the south.
High temperatures will reach 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 92 degrees inland and 80 degrees in the hills. The low temperatures tonight are 80 degrees along the coast; 72 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots. Seas will be choppy to moderate with waves of three to six feet. A small craft caution for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms is likely to go into effect later today.
Tides will be low at 10:07 this morning and 9:23 this evening and high at 4:06 this afternoon. Sunset this evening is at 6:23 and sunrise on Saturday at 5:33 in the morning.
For Saturday, expect a few showers and thunderstorms and periods of light rain countrywide, gradually decreasing and lingering mostly over the south on Saturday night.
