By Rubén Morales Iglesias: After performing at the Placencia Lobsterfest recently, Billboard No. 1 singer-songwriter Dustin Collins is returning to Belize to perform at Shisha 8, the first hookah and billiards lounge in Belize City for its grand re-opening on Friday, August 12.
“Shisha 8 Lounge recently completed a remodel that more than doubled their space and capacity,” said a press release.
“Doors open at 5 p.m. for the celebration, which will also include giveaways, drink specials, and more.”
“Shisha 8 offers a cozy indoor and outdoor space with an atmosphere that acts as a place for friends, wanderers and adventurers to share a drink, eat a meal, enjoy a hookah and listen to good music together,” said the release.
And the Georgia-born and Kentucky-raised entertainer, who has built a strong international fanbase during his numerous performances in Belize, will light up the place on Friday night.
In March 2017, Collins’, whose single, “Cold Dead Hands” made it to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Singles Sales chart in March 2017, was in Belize in July filming video content for his upcoming ‘Workin’ Man’ album release.
The press release said Collins spotlighted Belize’s beautiful scenery on a previous trip where he performed his own music and classic covers.
Collins released his second single from ‘Workin’ Man,’ “When She Had Georgia on Her Mind,” on June 24.
‘Workin’ Man’ follows Collins’ latest album, ‘It’s Been Awhile,’ which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers South Central Albums chart.
