By Benjamin Flowers: The Department of the Environment (DOE), within the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management announced today that its Belmopan office will be offering limited in-person services until August 12.
The DOE explained that the office at the Green Building Complex will have full-service interruptions due to ongoing maintenance at the building and on the grounds.
“However, we will continue to provide our services online to ensure that we deliver our mandated services to the public. Kindly use the email addresses below to contact our staff, or use our Contact Us form via our website, or private message via Facebook,” the DOE said.
Those wishing to access specific services interrupted by the ongoing works can do so by sending an email to the designated desk for that services.
For OPAL applications (import/export of restricted single-use plastics, scrap metal, lead-acid batteries, waste oil, and used tires) and Asycuda clearances for these commodities email the Information Management Unit at [email protected]; for OPAL applications (import of refrigerant, refrigerant-based equipment) and Asycuda clearances for these commodities email the Ozone Programme at [email protected]; for reports of environmental violations, include details about the violation, how it has affected you, location, etc., email the Environmental Complaints at [email protected]; for reports of any environmental emergency,such as groundings, oil spills, etc, email Environmental Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement at [email protected]; For questions about the community outreach programme, presentations, summer camps, etc, email the Public Awareness and Outreach at [email protected].
All other queries can be directed to the Chief Environmental Officer at [email protected] and/or the Deputy Chief Environmental Officer at [email protected].
