By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center (NHC) are monitoring a tropical wave located a few hundred miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands.
NHC says that some gradual development of this system is possible over the next couple of days but environmental conditions are forecast to become less favorable by this weekend.
This system is expected to move westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph across the tropical Atlantic during the next several days.
There is a 30% chance of formation through the next 5 days.
If this tropical wave strengthened into a storm, it would get the name Danielle and would be the 4th named storm of the Atlantic 2022 hurricane season.
