Tracey Betancourt on the run after murder conviction; police asking public help to find her

By Benjamin Flowers: Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for Tracey Betancourt, who was found guilty of the murder of San Pedro businessman Lamont Lipka last month.

Betancourt was found guilty on July 28 of Lipka’s murder along with Leon Walford. Walford was present for the sentencing; however, Betancourt, who was out on bail, did not show up for the trial. Walford is to be sentenced on September 30 meanwhile the search continues for Betancourt.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to report it by calling 911, 922, or the nearest police station.

Lipka, the owner of Tropicana Bar and Grill on Coconut Drive, was shot dead at his business in May 2018.
