Altitude lead Premier League of Belize

By Ruben Morales Iglesias: After just two weekends of action, National Subchampions Altitude FC lead the Premier League of Belize followed by National Champs Verdes FC.

The Independence club have won their two games over Benque United and the San Pedro Pirates and sport six points having scored three goals while not allowing any.

The Green Machine faltered in their first game and only managed a draw against newcomers Port Layola but bounced back this past weekend against Progresso FC. Verdes now have four points with two goals in favour and none against.

The San Pedro Pirates, Wagiya, Benque United, and Progresso follow with three points each from a win and a loss. In goals, the Pirates are 2-1, Wagiya 2-3, Benque 1-2, and Progresso 1-2 as well.

Port Layola are in seventh place with one point from their scoreless draw with Verdes and a loss to Benque United. They are 0-1 in goals.

The Belmopan Bandits find themselves were they never been before; in the cellar. The Belmopan side started off with two losses, have scored one goal and allowed three.

They will now attempt mend their ways but will have a rough time this coming Saturday against leaders Altitude FC.
