Belize Weather: Rain over most areas, but on the way out

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts cloudy skies with some showers, thunderstorms or periods of light rain over most areas today, then mainly over the south tonight and decreasing.

High temperatures today are 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 90 degrees over inland areas and 78 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 80 degrees along the coast, 73 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 10 to 20 knots. The seas will be choppy to moderate with waves of three to six feet. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms.

Tides will be low at 3:33 this afternoon and high at 9:44 this evening. The sun will set at 6:21 this evening and rise at 5:34 Thursday morning.

Skies on Thursday will be partly cloudy with only isolated showers or thunderstorms except for a few more over the south.
