Benque’s new derby, Verdes vs Benque United, brought forward to Saturday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The football game between Verdes and Benque United, now dubbed as the new derby, has been brought forward to Saturday.

The Premier League of Belize match will now be played at 4:00 pm on Saturday at the Edmund Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo del Carmen instead of Sunday. The change should allow Verdes one more day preparation time for their Scotiabank Concacaf League match against Salvadoran champions Alianza next Wednesday, April 17, at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.

Verdes recently advanced to the Round of 16 after eliminating Platense, another Salvadoran club.
