By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Two technicians from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE) are in Tabasco, Mexico, attending a five-day coconut training in Tabasco, Mexico.
The training is looking at the mitigation of pests and diseases and coconut breeding improvement.
“The objective is to train technicians to improve the genetics and management of the main phytosanitary problems that affect coconut production,” said MAFSE.
Teresita Balan and Samuel Cocom are participating in the training along with technicianS from eight Mesoamerican countries.
