By Aaron Humes: The Central Executive Committee of the United Democratic Party reluctantly took the position it announced to remove Patrick Faber from its confines, according to party chairman Michael Peyrefitte.
And while it is a possibility, there is no talk for now, he said, of potentially expelling the party’s most senior parliamentarian from the ranks.
But Peyrefitte reiterated the view of the Committee that Faber’s actions, especially in light of efforts to heal the party’s wounds, are “the grossest violation” of the Party’s Constitution.
And he added that no matter how much people may disagree with him, Leader of the Party and the Opposition Moses “Shyne” Barrow holds both positions and his leadership must be respected.
More on this to come.
