Wagiya down Progresso FC 1-0 in Premier League of Belize

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Wagiya edged Progresso FC 1-0 at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk on Sunday in the third week of the Premier League of Belize’s Opening Season.

Warren Moss nailed the only goal of the game in the 9’ and Wagiya were able to keep the score in their favour until the long whistle blew.

Wagiya now have six points from two wins and a loss and are in third position in the PLB behind Altitude and Verdes.
Progresso, on the other hand, started off with a win but have dropped their last two matches at home. They have three points finding themselves in the seventh position.

“We are a young team and we are not giving up. A 1-0 lost against Wagiya means that we need to go back to the drawing board and work harder. We lost our second game but we are gaining experience,” said Progresso FC on social media.
