Belizean Edith Ruiz wins bronze in Women’s 57kg category in North American Powerlifting Federation championships

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belizean Edith Ruiz won bronze in Women’s 57kg category in North American Powerlifting Federation championships in Panama City, Panama.

“Congratulations to Edith Ruiz on a competitive win. She is the third strongest 57kg #mightymouse in the 2022 NAPF regional championship,” said the Belize Powerlifting Association (BPA).

“She made #teambelize proud today!”

The Belize Powerlifting Association (BPA) sent a team of eight to compete in the 19th North American Powerlifting Federation championships.

Alida Wright Sharp also won gold for Belize in the Women’s Master II 52 kg category.
