Jacqueline Alas wins bronze in Women’s Open 63 kg Category at North American Powerlifting Championships

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Jacqueline Alas captured the bronze medal in the Women’s Open 63 kg Category at North American Powerlifting Championships in Panama City in Panama.

“Our girl fought hard this morning, and we have another bronze medal for Belize!!!,” said Alida Wright Sharp.

So far Belize has one gold and two bronze medals at the regional championships.

Wright Sharp herself won gold in the Women’s Masters II 52 kg Category setting three new records and tying a fourth one.

Edith Ruiz also won bronze in the Women’s Open 57 Kg Category.

Additionally, Leo Matura placed fourth in the Men’s Open 74 kg Category.
