By Aaron Humes, Ladyville: The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) has donated a Nissan SUV to the Belize Defence Force (BDF) to conduct patrols in hard-to-get-to areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge.
For Belize to continue being a trusted and successful tourist destination, according to Minister of Tourism Anthony Mahler, security is critical, and the Board will play its part in ensuring the Force and security forces generally have the tools they need along with their instilled discipline to keep Belize safe from sea to shore.
The two sides have also signed a memorandum of understanding for continued cooperation.
