Belizeans Carlos Linarez, Christian Lopez win 3rd place in USCA National Canoe and Kayak Marathon Championships

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belizeans Carlos Linarez and Christian Lopez captured third place in USCA National Canoe and Kayak Marathon Championships in Newaygo, Michigan.

Linarez and Lopez competed in the C2 category.

According to Belikin La Ruta Maya, this is the first time any Belizean athlete has competed in this race.

“The United States Canoe Association’s (USCA) 2022 National Canoe & Kayak Marathon Championships is a 4-day event where canoers and kayakers from across the US and Canada test their race skills against the best in their sport,” said Belikin La Ruta Maya.

Belikin La Ruta Maya thanked Judson Steinback for helping make the Belizean participation possible.
