By Breaking Belize News Staff: Four men charged with the creating a video for the purpose of promoting gang activity, pleaded with the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this week, to give them back their revoked bail so they can leave prison.

Sheldon Grinage, John Grinage, Hubert Baptist, and Brandon Baptist, all appeared in court on Wednesday, before Chief Magistrate Sharon Fraser, to receive their new trial date on their matter.

In court the brothers explained that they are tired of enduring the hardships of prison, noting that they are repeatedly targeted. They begged the Chief Magistrate to intervene on their behalf so they could go home.

The Chief Magistrate explained to them, however, that since their bail was granted and revoked by the supreme court, the matter was out of her hands, and they were remanded back to prison.

Their trial date has been set for August 31.

The men were arrested on July 19, 2021, after posing in a video with unlicensed and prohibited firearms.
