By Aaron Humes: From Tuesday to today, Friday, 184 new cases of COVID-19 were reported countrywide according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The number of active cases is at 241 with 67,961 reported overall; however, no new deaths have been reported and the total number of deaths countrywide remains at 680. Only one person is currently hospitalized with the virus.

With school slated to start in the coming weeks, the Ministry encourages persons 5 years and older to get vaccinated as soon as they can. If you are eligible to take a booster shot, please do so as well. Regardless of the variant, the same health measures such as handwashing and sanitizing, social distancing and use of masks where necessary protect us all from getting COVID-19.
