Posted: Friday, August 19, 2022. 9:42 pm CST.

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belize City resident, 27-year-old Trevor Brown, was remanded to the Belize Central Prison today, after being charged for shooting at a man that is supposed to be his friend.

Brown, who was picked up by police on Thursday, August 18, has been wanted by police since August 7, when the incident occurred.

The victim told police that Brown came to his gate and the two had an argument, after which Brown left. He came back later with a firearm and fired several shots, none of which caught his friend, and then escaped on a motorcycle.

In court, Brown was read a single charge of aggravated assault with a firearm, to which he pleaded not guilty. Due to the nature of the offense, bail was denied in the first instance and he was remanded until October 20.
