By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 42-year-old Belize City man accused of attacking his girlfriend will have to make new living arrangements until his court matter is resolved.
Glenford Soberanis appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Monday, charged with a single count of wounding and one count of threatening words.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of $1,500 plus one surety of the same, which he was able to meet. His bail came with the condition that he must keep a minimum of 100 yards from the complainant but he explained to the magistrate that, despite the situation, they remain in a relationship and are living in the same house.
The Magistrate asked him if he had somewhere else to stay and he told the court he could go live with his mother in the meantime.
He is due to return to court on October 17.
