By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Maya Island Air is looking at retrofitting its fleet with zero emission propulsion technologies, Ch-Aviation reports.
According to the report, Monte Aircraft Leasing, the UK based company that specializes in financing and leasing solutions for zero-emission technology to regional aircraft operators, announced it has signed an agreement with Maya Island Air, encompassing all technical and financial aspects of the conversion process.
Maya Island Air operates a fleet of 14 Cessna aircraft on scheduled and charter flights throughout Belize as well as to Guatemala.
“We believe their route network is well suited to the adoption of zero-emission propulsion technologies and are excited to work with them on this journey towards net zero,” Monte said.
