Police find cache of ammunition for high-powered weapons in Belmopan

By Benjamin Flowers: Belmopan police found a cache of unlicensed ammunition for high-powered weaponry this week.

Officers conducting searches on Hilltop Street searched an empty lot around 1:43 p.m. where they found a black plastic bag that had bullets.

The bag contained five 12 gauge cartridges, as well as five live .223 rounds and 22 5.56 rounds.

No one was in the area at the time, and as a result, properties were sealed, labeled, and deposited as found property.
