Salvadoran MS 13 gang member detained in Belize

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Last week, Belizean authorities detained Eric Alberto Lucero, a Salvadoran MS 13 gang member known as “Rockero”.

On Thursday, August 18, he was handed over to Guatemalan authorities who will then hand over Lucero to Salvadoran police.

Lucero is wanted in his country and known as an “MS 13 terrorist” who can face up to 30 years in prison.

Guatemalan authorities say that Lucero who has a record for the crime of illegal groups since 2015, will be handed over to the Transnational Anti-Gang Center of El Salvador.
