“John Doe” found with head crushed in Ladyville

By Aaron Humes: Police are seeking assistance to identify the body of a man found with his head completely crushed and apparently dead early this morning in Ladyville.

Police recovered the body from the area between miles 6 and 7 on the Philip Goldson Highway, just after 1 a.m. The person was wearing a blue and green checkered shirt and black long jeans pants, without footwear. The person carried no identification on him and no one else was in the area to provide information.

The “John Doe” has been pronounced dead at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and awaits identification and a post-mortem examination. Police investigations continue.
