By Breaking Belize News Staff: Two Belize City men were remanded to the Belize Central Prison this week, after being charged with armed robbery.
Stanley Jerome Moore, and Eugene Mark Anthony Fraser, both 31 years old, appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, on Tuesday, answering for a single count of robbery.
The victim reported to police that on Saturday, August 18, while on Youth for the Future Drive, two men approached him. One of them pointed a gun at him while the other took his cellphone, valued at 4450, along with $500 cash.
The men then rode off on separate bicycles in the direction of Conch Shell Bay.
In court, both men pleaded not guilty to the charge, but since the offense was committed with a firearm, bail could not be granted in the first instance.
They were remanded until October 24.
