By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts cloudy to overcast skies with some showers, thunderstorms and periods of rain in the north and center of Belize today, decreasing slightly, then re-developing tonight, especially over the south and coast.
High temperatures will reach 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 90 degrees over inland areas and 76 degrees in the hills. Temperatures tonight fall to 78 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots. The seas will be choppy to moderate with waves of three to six feet.
A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near thunderstorms and heavy showers. A flood watch remains in effect for the possibility of localized flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas across the country.
Tides will be high at 8:32 this morning and 9:45 this evening and low at 3:55 this afternoon. Sunset is at 6:11 this evening and sunrise on Friday morning is at 5:37.
Friday sees cloudy skies at times with a few morning showers and isolated thunderstorms over most areas, decreasing by afternoon before redeveloping over the south on Friday night.
