By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. Showers, thunderstorms or periods of light rain will affect most areas this morning, decreasing this afternoon and evening before popping up mostly over the south tonight.
High temperatures today will be 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 91 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 80 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees in inland areas and 66 degrees in the hills.
Winds will be easterly at five to 15 knots. The seas will be light chop with waves of two to four feet. A flood watch is in effect for low-lying and flood-prone areas. A small craft caution is in effect for the possibility of gusty winds and locally rough seas near thunderstorms.
Tides are high as of 9:12 this morning, followed by a low tide at 4:23 this afternoon and a high tide at 10:12 this evening. The sun sets at 6:10 this evening and rises at 5:37 Saturday morning.
Weather will be mainly fair with isolated showers and thunderstorms except over the south on Saturday morning and late Saturday night.
