Minister of Education visits Belize High School

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology (MoECST), Francis Fonseca, CEO Dian Maheia, Chief Executive Officer, and Namrita Balani, Director of Science and Technology visited the Belize High School.

The Ministry says that the visit focused on gaining an understanding of the Science and Technology programme at the institution and discussing enhanced cooperation with the Ministry to advance Science and Technology in schools all across Belize.

This year, a team from Belize High School will partake in the Global FIRST Challenge being held under the theme ‘Carbon Capture’ in Geneva, Switzerland.

Fonseca expressed his pride in the team and encouraged the participants to do their best in the challenge.

Fonseca also spoke on his vision for Science and Technology and committed the support of the MoECST to the participants.
