Belize Weather: Mostly sunny start to weekend

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with cloudy spells today and cloudy skies at times tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated except over the southern districts.

High temperatures today will reach 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 92 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 80 degrees along the coast; 73 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at five to 15 knots. The seas will be light chop with waves of two to four feet.

Tides will be high at 9:50 this morning and 10:40 tonight and low at 4:50 this afternoon. Sunset occurs at 6:10 this evening and sunrise on Sunday takes place at 5:37 in the morning.

Expect a few showers and isolated thunderstorms along the coast and over the south on Sunday and mainly over the south on Sunday night.
