By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Government of Belize has launched the National Micro, Small, and Medium (MSME) enterprises roadshow.
The purpose of the roadshow is to raise public awareness of the goods and services being produced by MSMEs.
From August 24 to 26, 2022, entrepreneurs in Corozal participated in the first series of the roadshow that will be taken across the country to give exposure to MSME’s.
As the national roadshow moves across the country, businesses will have access to the MSME boot camp, MSME formalization clinic and a showcase/pop-up shop.
“MSMEs contribute to sustainable development, create new decent jobs, provide needed goods and services, combat poverty and reduce inequality,” Prime Minister John Briceno noted.
MSMEs account for about 90% of all businesses established in Belize and 50% of all employment, Prime Minister Briceno said.
