Progresso beat Port Layola 1-0 in Belize City

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Progresso FC came to Belize City on Sunday and left celebrating after their 1-0 victory over Port Layola in the Premier League of Belize Opening Championship.

Zamir Bonilla scored his third goal of the season in the 53′ at the MCC Grounds and that was enough for the Northern side to secure the three points.

Progresso now have seven points and moved up from fifth to fourth place in Belize’s top flight football league.
Port remained in sixth place with their four points but have now been caught by Benque Viejo United, who now also have four points after their 0-0 draw with the Belmopan Bandits.
