US Marshals top 15 wanted fugitive Raymond McLeod who was reportedly sighted in Belize detained in El Salvador 

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Former marine turned murder suspect, Raymond RJ McLeod was detained on Monday evening in Sonsonate, El Salvador, MSN reports. 

McLeod was one of the U.S. Marshals Top 15 most wanted fugitive for his alleged role in the 2016 murder of Krystal Mitchell in San Diego. McLeod had been on the run since then and was believed to be moving through countries in Central America.

 In 2017, the U.S. Embassy in Belize issued a wanted poster for McLeod and there were several reports that he had been sighted in Southern Belize. 

Last year, the U.S. Marshals announced that they were offering a $50,000 reward for information on McLeod. 

Reports say that authorities received a tip that McLeod was teaching English in a school in Sonsonate, El Salvador, before moving in on him.
