By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Thirty farmers from San Vicente and Jalacte Villages last week attended a one-day training session on how to use pesticides, said the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE).
The Agriculture Ministry said the training showed the farmers how to calibrate, calculate, and use pesticides.
“Farmers who are interested in renewing their pesticide license or in applying for one, are asked to contact the Agriculture Department in their district for the date scheduled to undertake the training,” said MAFSE.
The one-day training session for the San Vicente and Jalacte farmers was conducted by the Pesticides Control Board in close cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Maya Leaders Alliance.
