BREAKING: Shooting disrupts Mas Camp judging as one person injured

By Aaron Humes: A shooting incident was reported in the last hour in the Racoon Street area near the base camp of the Soca Moca Mas Band.

One person was shot and injured. He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) where he is undergoing treatment.

According to Carnival Association President Patrick Thompson, the shooting took place as they were being escorted to the area by Police, who acted quickly and pulled them out of the area for their own safety.

Thompson said in a live interview on social media that the band will not be penalized for the judges not being able to visit their site in person.

Investigations into the shooting incident continue at this hour.
