International News: Drug smugglers drive a van with 220 pounds of marijuana into the Rio Grande

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Saturday, drug smugglers drove a van with 220 pounds of marijuana into the Rio Grande at the U.S.-Mexico border, Fox News reports.

Border patrol agents reportedly tried to stop the chevy suburban believed to have loaded narcotics near the Rio Grande in Brownsville.

The van drove toward the river and into the water. The driver and a passenger were seen leaving the van and running into Mexico, officials say.

Authorities found 10 bundles of marijuana weighing more than 220 pounds and valued at more than $192,000, inside the van.
