By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Forecasters monitor Tropical Storm Danielle, and 2 other disturbances in the Atlantic
Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center (NHC) are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Danielle which formed today in the Atlantic.
According to the NHC, Tropical Storm Danielle was located to the west of the Azores.
Danielle is expected to become a hurricane in two days or so. Danielle is the 4th named storm of the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane season.
Forecasters are also monitoring a broad area of low pressure several hundred miles east of the Leeward Islands.
NHC notes that although environmental conditions remain only marginally conducive, any additional development of the system over the next few days would lead to the formation of a tropical depression.
This system has a 60% chance of formation through the next 48 hours.
Another broad area of low pressure is located over and to the northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands.
There is still some chance for the system to become a short-lived tropical depression within the next day or so before environmental conditions become unfavorable for further development.
This system has a 30% chance of formation through the next 48 hours.
