Belize draw 1-1 with Antigua & Barbuda in CONCACAF Men’s U17 Qualifiers

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Under-17 Belize Men’s National Football Team (BMNT) drew 1-1 on Wednesday evening at the Estadio Nacional in Managua, Nicaragua in the CONCACAF Men’s U17 Qualifiers (CU17Q).

The U-17 BMNT jumped ahead midway in the 15’ but the Caribbean side was able to draw even exactly 15 minutes later in the opening Group D match.

In the second game, hosts Nicaragua blasted Turks and Caicos Islands 5-0.

The group winner will advance to the 2023 Concacaf U-17 Championship (CU17C) where they will join the top 16 ranked nations that qualified directly into the group stage of the Championship.

The next match will pit Belize against Nicaragua on Friday at 7:00 pm. The final match will be against Turks and Caicos Islands on Sunday at 4:00 pm.
