By Rubén Morales Iglesias: “It’s a pleasure to lead the Caribbean delegation as the Vice President of Small Island Developing States DOCK initiative,” said Prime Minister John Briceño in a social media post from Germany.
Prime Minister Briceño said they were discussing ways to deal with sargassum.
“High on our interest agenda is discussing possibilities to manage our sargassum climate change phenomenon that’s been impacting our region’s tourism,” he said.
“We are looking at productive ways to use the sargassum and manage waste to help transform and meet our energy needs in our countries.”
The Prime Minister said he was to meet representatives of Aavriodin AG, a technology based firm Variodin AG, in Berlin “to discuss and learn about the technological opportunities that may be transferable to our region with positive impact”.
