Belizean scholarship recipients leave for Taiwan

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Friday, September 2, 2022, another group of 16 Belizean scholarship recipients left for Taiwan.

The students are scholarship recipients of the 2022 Taiwan MOFA Scholarship and ICDF Scholarship.

“It was an emotional and exciting moment for the scholarship recipients and their families at the airport. Wish them all the best with their study and life in Taiwan,” the Taiwan Embassy in Belize said.

Fifty-two Belizean students were awarded scholarships, 38 by Taiwan ICDF and 14 by Taiwan MOFA.

The Minister of Education, Francis Fonseca has extended gratitude to the Government and people of Taiwan and encourages Belizean students to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
