Armed robber steals cabbie’s fares

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating an armed hold-up of a dollar van taxi operator on Thursday afternoon.

Samuel Guery of Belize City says he was driving his Chrysler minivan on Holy Emmanuel Street accompanied by his wife when a man ran across the street in front of the van, forcing him to stop.

But the man turned out to be armed and held him up, forcing him to hand over his handbag containing the day’s proceeds.
