Belize Weather: Sunday sunshine – and some showers

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with cloudy spells today and cloudy skies at times tonight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will affect most areas today and mainly the south tonight.

High temperatures will reach 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 90 degrees inland and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will fall to 79 degrees along the coast, 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at five to 15 knots. The seas will be light chop with waves of two to four feet.

A flood warning remains in effect for communities along the Macal River Valley, while a flood watch remains in effect for southern portions of the south.

Tides will be low at 11:09 this morning and 9:45 this evening and high at 5:50 this evening. The sun sets this evening at 6:03 and rises at 5:39 Monday morning.

Monday sees a few showers and isolated thunderstorms around the country.
