Soca Massive juniors Soca Moca seniors rule the road on Carnival Day

By Aaron Humes: Carnival is officially back and the Belize Carnival Association has named the Soca Massive junior band and Soca Moca senior band as Road March winners in 2022.

Soca Massive outpointed Jump Street Posse by 924 to 900 points, and the Collet Royal Revellers came in third with 894 points.

Soca Moca – whose judging night was briefly interrupted by a shooting incident – knocked off Mother Nature’s Creation for top honours with 1,015 to 1,001 points; third place went to Trenchtown Masqueraders.

Festivities went off mostly without incident due to increased Police security presence and a good time, we understand, was had by all.
