Belize @ 41 Public Lecture on Wednesday to review Education, Language, Immigration, and Public Policy

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize @ 41 Public Lecture entitled ‘Belize Finally Breaking the Chains of Colonial Thought at 41’ to be held on Wednesday, September 7, will review Education, Language, Immigration, and Public Policy.

The Belize @ 41 Public Lecture will start at 2:00 pm at the University of Belize Auditorium in Belmopan,

“You’re invited to be a part of the discussion,” says a flyer promoting the lecture.

Erica Aguilar, lecturer at the UB Faculty of Education and Arts will present on the Role of Education.

Dr. Christopher DeShield, assistant professor at UB’s Faculty of Education and Arts will look at Language.

Dr. Gilroy Middleton, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Immigration will speak on Immigration.

And Dr. Filiberto Penados, associate professor at Galen University’s Faculty of Arts, Science, and Technology and Research will delve into the topic of Public Policy.

The Belize @ 41 Public Lecture will be live-streamed on the University of Belize Facebook page and will be broadcast by Love FM.
