Belize Weather: Fair today but change on the way

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts generally fair weather today but says a change is on the way.

Skies today will be mostly sunny with isolated showers and thunderstorms. Tonight skies will be cloudy at times with an increase in showers and thunderstorms and periods of rain countrywide.

High temperatures will reach 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 94 degrees inland and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 79 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to ten knots. Seas will be slight with waves of one to three feet.

Tides will be high at 8 a.m. this morning and 9:14 this evening and low at 3:12 this afternoon. Sunset is at exactly 6 p.m. and sunrise on Friday morning at 5:39 a.m.

Expect an increase in showers in the north on Friday with isolated showers or thunderstorms elsewhere.
