Leader of the Opposition Shyne Barrow expresses condolences to family of former UDP Mayor of Dangriga Aron ‘Jake’ Gongora on his passing

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Leader of the Opposition Shyne Barrow expressed condolences to the family of former UDP Mayor of Dangriga Aron ‘Jake’ Gongora on his passing.

“On behalf of the United Democratic Party, we thank Party faithful Aaron Jake Gongora for his commendable service to the UDP as our Mayor in Dangriga,” wrote Barrow in a social media post.

“We pray his soul a peaceful journey.

“We pray the family finds solace in this time of grief.

“Deepest sympathies.”

Gongora, who was Mayor of Dangriga from 2009 to 2012, passed away earlier on Thursday.

He was 67.

The family said funeral arrangement would be announced later.
